The Office of Sustainability Launches University Green Fund

December 02, 2013

The Office of Sustainability has launched the newly created Columbia University Green Fund, a newly created $25,000 fund by Columbia DiningHousing and University Event Management that provides support for student-led projects. These projects will be directed toward improving sustainability on the Columbia University campuses. The Green Fund committee looks to fund approximately four to six projects, at an average of $5,000 to $10,000 per project.

The projects selected must directly contribute to the environmental sustainability of Columbia's operations, have a defined and measurable outcome, and include components that raise greater awareness of sustainability initiatives on campus. Additionally, students must plan for a formalized final report and presentation of their findings and/or results.
