Carsplit - Columbia's Cab Sharing Service 

What is Carsplit?

Carsplit is a service unofficially provided by the Columbia Engineering Student Council that forms groups of students going to the airport or train station at the same time to split the cost of a taxi ride.

Why should students use it?

Carsplit has the ease and convenience of a taxi ride to JFK, LGA, EWR, Grand Central or Penn Station, but at 1/3 of the price! Plus, carpooling makes for a better carbon footprint.

How does it work?

 Carsplit forms groups of up to 3 Columbia students going to the airport or train station at the same time so they can meet up to split a cab.
