ON NEXT WEEK'S "TO DO" LIST: GIVE & GO GREEN

GIVE & GO GREEN! It'll guarantee a move out that's stressless and downright rewarding. Rather than heaping more on area landfills, your donations to Give & Go Green will go to non-profit agencies and their needy clients in New York City.

The opportunity to drop off your "old stuff" will take place three days next week from 12-4 p.m. at these places:

Tuesday, May 12:  College Walk

Wednesday, May 13: Carman Gate, 114th St. and Broadway

Thursday, May 14: Wien Gate

The EcoReps, sponsors of the project along with Housing & Dining and the Department of Environmental Stewardship, hope you'll contribute the following items:

  • unopened, non-perishable food
  • appliances
  • furniture
  • kitchenware
  • clothing that you've bagged
  • shoes
  • accessories
  • books
  • linens
  • computers
  • toiletries.

If you're donating a computer, protect your privacy by permanently wiping the hard drive using DBAN, a free file-deletion program offered by CUIT.

Last year, Give & Go Green donations filled five 26-foot Salvation Army trucks, and provided 500 pounds of food for City Harvest.
